I'm actually supposed to be getting ready for a conference right now (sorry babe), but I wanted to blog a quick post about Rae and Jason's engagement session.

To keep it short and sweet - Rae and Jason are a perfect match. Their love for each other was easy to capture, because they didn't have a problem showing it. Though Rae warned us that they had "no idea" what to do in front of a camera, their session was completely comfortable, fun, and produced plenty of incredible shots (so you were wrong, Rae! ;)). Here's a glimpse of their engagement shoot at beautiful Bok Tower Gardens:

Ben's view is on the left, mine's on the right. :)

I love the next two; there's something really natural about their expressions. I like how they are in their own moment - just the two of them. It's like Ben and I aren't even there. Future clients take note - we want you to ignore us. Seriously. You'll end up with pictures like this if you do. :)

I've noticed that my blogs have been doubling up lately (or tripling up, for that matter). This is probably because I'm a littttttle behind on blogging. Over the next couple of days I will be playing catch up.
Isn't that phrase sort of weird? Are we ever really "caught up?" I feel like I'm constantly chasing after my work and responsibilities, but they must be flippin' marathon champs because I can never seem to muster up enough energy to pass them.
Man, have I ever mentioned that I despise running?

Anyway, clearly I didn't meet my deadline for announcing the winner of the contest. Not that I'm fumbling to come up with an excuse, but Ben and I (along with my sister and her husband) threw my parents a 25th wedding anniversary party this past weekend, so that consumed a lot of my time and efforts. (p.s. The party will be one of my near future blogs. :))
Thanks to everyone who participated in the Twitter challenge. Your entries were sweet and inspiring, and provided me with tons of new perspectives about "love." But we had to pick a winner. And that person is.....
Megan Tucker!!!
Here's Megan's entry: "Megan thinks that love is knowing someone isn't perfect, but realizing that you wouldn't have them any other way."
Isn't it true? In her pure and simple statement, Megan pointed out that we accept the ones we love - without condition, flaws and all. Well put.
Megan, I'll be sending some tunes your way soon! Congrats! :)

Part 2 of our blog is a sneak peek of Erin and Spencer's Winter Park engagement shoot. I will be devoting an entire blog post to detail how fabulous this couple truly is, so I'll just let you enjoy the sneak peek images below. There will be a bajillion more (that's right - bajillion) in the bigger post because Erin and Spencer are two of the most insanely photogenic people we've ever met:
Hello, fierce.

Cuteness overload. :)

Erin, you're gorgeous.

The very last shot of the day. Talk about ending on a good note.

Yvonne Morrow:
Love the rich colors in the last picture -- the green of the grass, the purple of her top, and the blues of their jeans! Great looking couple!

I like a good love story. I could quote lines from chick flicks like The Holiday and Pretty Woman. And the Twilight series? Don't even get me started. I'm a sucker for romance - I guess I'm in the right career field. :)
Kimberly and Kyle's love story is classic. They've been friends since grade school, high school sweethearts, and, after 6.5 years of dating they "finally" - in Kimberly's words ;) - got engaged. They have a history of loving each other, and you can tell. Their romance is comfortable and bona fide - devoid of any insecurity or uneasiness. They're friends who fell in love. And that, in my opinion, is the best kind of story (not that I'm biased...;)).
We photographed Kimberly and Kyle's engagement session at the University of Florida. The campus is massive and a photographer would be hard-pressed to find a lackluster location while shooting there. From gorgeous, historic old buildings, to canopies of trees, to the Gator stadium itself - we gathered inspiration from all areas. It also didn't hurt that we had two good-looking subjects who were down for anything we asked them to do. Taking direction from us - "Lay on this table thing," "Dance in that field," "Now just have fun! Interact with each other!" - can be a little ridiculous sometimes, but Kimberly and Kyle were insanely easy to work with. And that just makes us super happy. :)
Kimberly and Kyle - thank you for allowing us to capture your beautiful relationship. We appreciate your laid back personalities and inspiring love story. We only have one issue - we wish you were getting married sooner because we're dying to hang out again! :)
